The assignment was to make The Home Depot social by giving Pros and DIYers alike something to be social about.

My Role: Creative + Strategy

While I provided several ideas, the clients were most excited about launching the first-ever retail-inspired edutainment studio on YouTube with focus reality-based programming. In addition to driving the cultural fuel behind each idea presented to clients, I developed three sample show ideas using relevant trends including:

  1. Global watch time for how-to videos that include “at home” in the title has increased more than 50% year over year

  2. One-in-five YouTube users say it is very important for helping them understand things that are happening in the world

  3. Finding a love match at The Home Depot is an ogoing trending topic

  4. Trade jobs are making a comeback amongst Gen Z, and they turn to YouTube to upskill
